How Does Spark® Work?
Spark® treatment consists of a series of clear, BPA-free plastic aligners that fit comfortably over your teeth. By applying precise and consistent pressure, Spark® gently moves your teeth into their appropriate location. Each new set of aligners are engineered to fit snugly and apply the right amount of force needed to achieve the next adjustment of your treatment process.
About Spark® Candidacy
Spark® can treat many of the same conditions as traditional braces, including:

Dr. Griffin prescribes Spark® to treat mild to complex cases of misalignment. However, Spark® may not be the right treatment plan for your needs. We will conduct a comprehensive examination of your misalignment at our office and recommend the optimal orthodontic treatment for you.
Your Spark® Treatment
Once it is determined that you qualify for Spark®, Dr. Griffin will use the iTero® digital scanning system to create 3D digital images of your teeth. Using this information, he can design a precise treatment plan and map out the exact movements of your smile.
At this point, he can provide you with an estimate of how long your treatment will take. The iTero® scanner also allows you to preview the results of your expected smile. Dr. Griffin will then send your digital impressions to Spark®, where your aligners will be fabricated out of their virtually-invisible TrueGEN® material. This material makes our clear aligners more comfortable, clearer, and less likely to stain.
During treatment, you will need to wear your aligners 20 to 22 hours every day, removing them only to eat, brush, and floss. About every two weeks, you will exchange your aligners for a new set. You will also need to visit our office about every six weeks, which allows Dr. Griffin to monitor your progress and provide you with additional aligners.
